Memorial Biographies

mem folders

Most funeral providers offer just a small pamphlet listing the deceased’s birth and death dates and the name of the officiant at the funeral service. Mark the passing of a loved one in a more personal way with a short memorial biography.

After writing keepsake biographies for my aunts, I realized that, while they might not be Abraham Lincoln or Jackie Kennedy, every person has a story. It starts at birth and ends at death—the details in between make it interesting.

I can write a unique, four-page memorial biography for your loved one, in time for the memorial service. For $200, I will conduct a half-hour interview (in person or on the phone), write the copy, scan photos if necessary, layout the brochure and e-mail you a PDF that you can take to your local printer, Office Max or Kinko’s. Please allow three days for entire process, including proofreading.

Many funeral directors actually include an allowance for something like this in their service plans. Remember your loved one in a special way that can be passed down to future generations.
