About Cynthia Sowden

Words. I work with them, play with them, make them do my bidding. I can put them to work for you. I can help you find the right words to say what you mean, and I can deliver your message to the people who need to hear it. I've been playing with words all my life, it seems. What the heck-I tried to write a book about horses when I was 12! So it made sense to major in advertising at the University of Minnesota. Since then, my checkered career has taken me into advertising and public relations, employee communications and magazine writing in industries as varied as agriculture, papermaking, construction, manufacturing and travel.

I started Homegrown Communications when my daughter was a baby. I was home, she was growing. The rest is history.
